Intel Pentium II 266Mhz Processor About the goddamn time I got a P2. Abit BH6 P2 Motherboard Excellent board for its price; one of the best available infact. Completely jumperless, and its Soft Menu II BIOS makes overclocking a breeze for those who enjoy burning money on a few CPUs. 128MB SDRAM "Feel the power!" -Vader 256KB half-speed L2 Internal Cache Damn, and the new Celerons have full-speed cache, can you believe that?! Iiyama MT-9017E 17" Diamondtron This monitor does 1600x1280 at 72hz and 1280x1024 at 85hz for a flicker-free image. It's as sharp as the eye could tell, and has OSD. ARAG (anti-radiation and anti-glare) coating gets rid of that annoying glare during the afternoon when the sun is up. SIIG SoundWave Pro PCI Very nice sound card with an impressive 8MB ROM sample. Has 3D positioning and full reverb for MIDI playback, and has a 92 dBr signal-to-noise ratio that bests the Creative Labs AWE64 Gold. Diamond Viper V550 TNT On-par, if not, better than a Voodoo2. Runs all of my games liquid smooth. BusLogic Ultra-fast SCSI Controller It's there for when I actually get an Ultra-fast SCSI. Conner Peripherals 420MB IDE HD FOR SALE! Slow-ass piece of junk. IBM 8.4GB UltraDMA/33 IBM makes some of the most reliable drives, though they may not be as fast as the Seagate line. NEC 3.5"/5.25" Duel Floppy Drive I think this thing decided that it doesn't want to be a floppy drive anymore, because I have trouble booting up from it. Teac 32x SCSI-2 CD-ROM One of the best SCSI-II CDROMs available, next to the Plextor line. Does CDDA at 4x digitally perfect. NEC 4-CD 6x Changer Nice for playing multiple MP3 or multimedia CD's, but sometimes it clicks back and forth between its drives indefinitely, causing the entire system to halt until it's done fooling around. Iomega SCSI ZIP Removable Drive I think everyone should have one of these. US Robotics Internal 33.6kbps modem Don't use it anymore since I'm getting internet access through our local LAN. Intel EtherExpress Pro/100TX ethernet card My brother got us a pair of these, along with a 100BaseT Hub. SIIG Enhanced W104 Windows95 Keyboard Very soft and mushy keyboard. Logitech Trackman Marble I'll admit, it takes some getting-use-to a trackball. Once you get the hang of it, you'll like it. Besides, it saves space. This particular trackball uses an infared motion detector to track black spots on the ball, and doesn't require cleaning. |
